![]() ![]() You can also set the amount you want to zoom in to the topics, so you can have an appropriate amount of context showing. The slides represent the expanded or collapsed state of topics too, so you can present a slide with subtopics collapsed, and then progressively reveal the information as you go on to slides with those topics expanded. It is very easy to create your slides – just select the topics you want to include in the slide, and create your slide. This can keep the audience amused if you present information from a conference hash tag for instance. You can even hook into Twitter and feed live from related tweets. The presenter can show a subtly animated slide before you start your presentation, telling the audience the title of the presentation, and randomly presenting words, phrases, or even web site addresses. ![]() Your audience will be able to easily understand the context and meaning of your presentation. You will be able to glide over your Mind Maps and zoom into topics. For a fixed fee on Mac, you can try MindNode which has a macky minimal UI. Get your message across clearly and concisely using the Novamind Presenter. I have used NovaMind (Mind Mapping and Visual Thinking Tool ) for many years. Novamind Presenter: Sophisticated presentation system One of things that I like to do is to create a mind map that in the central node, the node is the central idea, Ive put the name of my blog. Developed specifically to leverage multi touch interaction, MindNode touch is a tool for collecting, organizing and outlining thoughts and ideas as mind maps. You can also create Mind Maps in any other language – full multi-byte character and right-to-left language support is built in. Novamind is available in the following languages: English, Spanish, German, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese. Your ribbon bar and footer bar move out of the way and automatically slide back into view when you need them, to give you the full editing capabilities and the maximum working area. Work in a clean workspace using the full screen mode. With Novamind, you make the changes and see the effects immediately, so you can get the results you are looking for. No dialogs – Just live changesįorget distracting popup dialogs. If you are using a Mac then our Mac version will make you feel right at home as it was designed to follow Mac OS X best practices. I hope the developers will manage to fix these problems, because I'd really LIKE to use this product. If you are using Windows, then Novamind provides you with a familiar MS Office-like user interface, complete with ribbon bar to edit your mind map. This is a beautiful program with great potential. Unfortunately, its bugginess, slowdowns, and frequent crashes are deal-breakers for me. I fell in love with this program when I started testing it, and fully intended to buy it. ![]() For instance, you would think that a program that intrinsically produces a lovely outline of your mind map, and can auto-number your nodes, could EXPORT the numbering, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I am also surprised by some of the features NovaMind doesn't have. Keyboard commands to add new child and sibling nodes likewise work intermittently or stop working altogether. ![]() Toggles to expand and collapse the mind map stop working, or work intermittently. The bigger the file, the more likely the program is to become unresponsive. Our unique layout algorithm keeps the Mind Map compact allowing you to focus on the content instead of wrestling with the layout. One of the bugs causes file sizes to bloat, such that a few minor changes can take a file from around 100 K to around 600 K. Capture ideas quickly and Novamind will create a beautiful visual Mind Map automatically for you. On the minus side, NovaMind 5.3 is slow, buggy, and prone to crash, at least under OS 10.6. You can also export the outline to TEXT and Word. (I find this particularly useful when I am planning something like a book.) You can select items in the outline view, Copy, and Paste them into an RTF document, which will give you the correct indent hierarchy, though it doesn't number the items. One of my favorites allows you to switch between mind map and outline views, or look at both simultaneously. On the plus side, it is gorgeous, easy to use, fairly intuitive, and packed with features. I have been testing NovaMind for the last several weeks, on a variety of projects. ![]()
